Traditional Waffles

10 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 tablespoons of sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
juice from one lemon
a pinch of salt
cream, toppings of your choice

Traditional Waffles


Mix butter and sugar, then add lemon juice, a pinch of salt and eggs. Mix well, then add the milk gradually. Separately, mix the flour with the baking powder, then add gradually over the batter, mixing well.
Heat the waffle iron, coat with oil and bake waffles (according to iron instructions).
When you are ready, add cream and toppings as desired.
