Sponge cake

Ingredients:
1 scant cup of sugar
1 scant cup of flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup of boiling water
1 table spoon of lemon or orange juice (or 1 tsp of any flaovouring)

Preparation:

Put egg yolks into a bowl, add the sugar and flavouring and beat until smooth and creamy. Add the boiling water gradually, then slowly add the flour, stirring well.
Separately beat the egg whites until they become foam, then slowly add them to the mixture of egg yolks, stirring with a wooden spoon from top to bottom.
Pour into a pan and bake in the oven preheated at 150 ° C for 1 hour.
Allow it to cool in the pan.
