Apple cake


For the cake
1 kg apples
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder

For glaze
2 tablespoons of water
10 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa
100 g butter or margarine

Apple cake


Peel apples and grate.
Mix well with eggs sugar until sugar dissolves. Add baking soda, faded with a little lemon juice, grated apple and flour. Then add cinnamon and ground nuts.

Grease a pan with margarine and sprinkle with flour (or use baking paper). Pour mixture into pan and bake in preheated oven 40-50 minutes (depending on oven).

Glaze is made from sugar and cocoa mixed with 2 tablespoons hot water. When cooled slightly, add butter to room temperature. Pour over cake 10-15 minutes before removing it from the oven. When cool, glaze looks like a crust.

Sometimes I sprinkle the cake with ground nuts or coconut flakes.
Other times I give up the glaze. Anyway it seems delicious to me.
